TRMC Named Top 10 Georgia Hospital in Heart Care, Spine Surgery

TIFTON — Georgia Trend magazine named Tift Regional Medical Center a top 10 Georgia Hospital in two clinical areas: coronary interventional procedures and orthopedic spine surgery. In a special section titled “Top Georgia Hospitals” featured in the magazine’s December issue, Georgia Trend used available state and federal clinical outcome data provided by Healthgrades, a healthcare-ratings organization. Healthgrades compiles hospital ratings using information from the most current three-year data set available from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and individual states.
William T. Richardson, president/CEO stated, “This is an honor, especially since we are being compared to not just comparable-size hospitals from around the state, but also larger institutions and academic centers. We can provide these quality services locally for area residents, so patients can be treated closer to home and family.
